Through a comprehensive web-based curriculum, Hope Online offers a well-rounded education that encompasses traditional subjects including reading, writing, math, science, social sciences and foreign languages. Hope Online's online curriculum:
- Develops a foundation for literacy and strengthens knowledge of reading, language arts, math, social studies and science
- Is accredited and standards-based, mapped to national and Colorado standards
- Was developed by experienced educators, based on scientifically-based research, pedagogically-sound instruction and proven best practices
- Incorporates self-paced and project-based activities that promote exploration, individual learning, cooperative learning, problem solving, reflection and real-world connections
- Offers students the ability to achieve academic success through a variety of learning and instructional strategies, designed to teach to multiple learning styles
- Features assessment and management tools that provide students and teachers immediate feedback and guidance, allowing student progress to be monitored and assessed in real time
- Is individualized and web-based, curriculum allowing students to move forward at their own pace and receive remediation or enrichment when needed

Assessments
Hope Online provides an education that meets or exceeds state standards. Each student's progress and knowledge are assessed through state-sponsored standardized testing, including the CSAP.
Other regular assessments at Hope Online help to gauge student progress and delineate whether remedial coursework or additional assignments are necessary.
Accountability

Graduation Requirements
In addition to the 24 course credits, Hope Online's graduation standards require students to achieve minimum scores on the ACT or Accuplacer, so students who choose to enter college will be exempt from taking remedial courses.
Graduation Requirements for 2007-2008 & 2008-2009
- 4 units language arts
- 3 units math (Algebra I level and higher)
- 3 units natural/physical science
- 3 units social studies (American History and Civics are required)
- 1 unit computer education
- 9 units of electives
- 1 unit physical education
- 24 total units

- 4 units language arts
- 4 units math (Algebra I level and higher)
- 3 units natural/physical science
- 3 units social studies (American History and Civics are required)
- 2 units foreign language (must be the same language)
- 1 unit computer education
- 6 units of electives
- 1 unit physical education
- 24 total units
A minimum ACT composite score of 18 or minimum Accuplacer scores of 62 in reading, 70 in sentence skills and 60 in math, subject to reasonable accommodations for special education students, are required.

Kindergarten through Eighth Grade Classes
How do we develop a strong foundation for future learning in our young students?
Our highly acclaimed Odyssey k-8 curriculum is standards based, meeting both state and federal criteria. It is created by CompassLearning, the leader in technology learning solutions.
Our k-8 curriculum includes:

Ninth Grade through 12th Grade Classes
HOPE Online's high school curriculum was created by the prestigious Florida Virtual School. It meets both Colorado state and federal standards and is aligned to the CSAP.
Our program is designed to help high school students achieve their future goals, to learn a trade or to attend a college or university, as we stress the importance of personal responsibility.
Courses include business, language arts, computers, math, science, social studies and Spanish.

English Language Learners (ELL)
Development of spoken and written English language skills at student’s own pace in a multimedia-rich environment.
Helps students develop thinking, writing, and speaking skills in English. ELL is specifically geared towards students who currently speak Spanish, Vietnamese, Haitian/Creole, Hmong, Mandarin, Russian, Arabic, Korean, Japanese, and Portuguese.
